Jules Doran Reflexology (MAR, MARR)Specialising in women and children’s
health and wellbeing in Prestwood

1 in 6 couples experience fertility and reproductive health difficulties when trying to conceive, with causes of infertility being shared equally a third male, a third female and a third joint. Factors contributing to the inability to conceive naturally include; lifestyle, medications, health issues, weight and stress.

Stress plays a huge party on someones fertility. Stress hormones; adrenaline, cortisol, and nor-epinephrine. negatively affect reproductive hormones which in turn makes it difficult to conceive. Finding ways to reduce stress levels are important. Reflexology is known to have a positive impact on stress which results in the body regulating itself and returning to a balanced state. I appreciate the anxiety that may be felt if you have been trying and not been successful, each couples’ journey is different and I can offer a calm and supportive environment where you can talk confidentially.

Reproflexology™

Reproflexology is a specialised reflexology technique that focuses on pre-conceptual care that can be used for anyone who is experiencing fertility issues at any part of the conception journey It can be used as a stand-alone treatment to enhance your natural fertility whether you hope to conceive naturally or if undertaking fertility treatment.

Reproflexology was developed over several decades by Barbara Scott, founder of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists. It uses structured, prescriptive treatments which have been proven to be effective and beneficial in improving outcomes, alleviating symptoms and helping couples to improve their fertility. It is much more affordable, more enjoyable and far less stressful than medical treatments

For couples already receiving fertility treatment (including Clomid, IUl and IVF and ICSI) In these cases I can work alongside the conventional medical treatment to support them in order to boost and optimise the the chances of success using their body’s own mechanisms.

On a physical level Reproflexology aims to help with irregular periods, improve sperm health, including low sperm count or motility and bring relief for conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, PMS and menopausal symptoms. On a psychological level it can help to reduce stress levels and manage emotions.

how does Reproflexology™ work?

  • Uses specific & prescriptive treatment protocols to address fertility health for both men and women
  • Regulates menstrual cycles ensuring each stage functions at its best.
  • Improves sperm production and functionality
  • aims to assist any underlying conditions - male or female ( eg PCOS or endometriosis)
  • Uses structured and prescriptive treatment protocols to support all forms of assisted conception
  • Reduce stress
  • It is one of the most effective forms of integrated medicine using results from medical testing to measure improvements

And it has fabulous results

What to expect at your appointment
Before the first appointment you will be sent a health and lifestyle questionnaire; it is important that both partners complete it. Your first appointment is an in-depth consultation; ideally attended by both partners. We will cover all aspects of your health and lifestyle including gynaecological and pregnancy history and any tests already taken. This will give me a greater understanding of the stresses or concerns you face and allow me to develop a treatment plan with the aim of addressing any issues to allow the best possible chance of conceiving.

I will advise of appropriate medical tests to take, either NHS or private, suggest dietary or lifestyle changes to make and supplements to take. I will also discuss menstrual charting. Please remember that there are many small changes you can make that could have a huge impact your ability to conceive.

If you are happy and comfortable with me I would like to treat you weekly throughout your cycle and then fortnightly. Regular treatments are important to help support you during each phase of your menstrual cycle and in pregnancy.
